Amman From Dusk Till Dawn

When the sun sets, the bars in Amman come alive with locals and tourists gathering to make the most of the city’s party scene. Nightclubs play international hits, which draw enthusiastic crowds. Bars offer a more relaxing atmosphere where you can engage in conversations while sipping on a variety of alcoholic beverages. There are nightlife options to suit all budgets from expensive hotels to cheaper street bars. Alternatively, visit one of Amman’s trendy restaurants for a quiet night out.


Bars

Amman has numerous noisy bars where crowds congregate to dance to loud music as well as quieter establishments where you can engage in interesting conversations. Arabic, Irish and British bars provide entertainment for international cliental. If you want to keep up to date on sporting events go to Big Fellow where you can watch the games on quality screens. Along Jabal Amman is Amigo Bar, which provides good service and a variety of alcoholic beverages. After a night out on the tiles, retire to the comfort of one of the cheap Amman hotels for some much needed rest and relaxation.


Nightclubs

Party the night away at JJs, which is located on the lobby level of the Grand Hyyat Amman. JJs is open Monday to Saturday from 22:00 until 01:00. There is a big screen television set up at the bar. JJs, has an intimate atmosphere with ambient music. The dress code for JJs is casual and both hotel guests and visitors are welcome. If you are staying at one of the cheap Amman hotels then head to JJs where you can make use of the bar facilities.


Live Music

On Al-Hussein Street is the Blue Fig, which holds live music events every week. On Thursday nights the Blue Fig is the place to be as the live music draws crowds. The Royal Cultural Center is situated on Al-Malekah Street and this venue hosts a larhe number of Arabic music events.


Cinemas

If you are looking for a night out for the whole family, head to one of Amman’s well equipped cinemas. Century cinema is conveniently located in the Zara Center on Jebel Amman Street. The chairs, sound system and lighting make for comfortable viewing at this establishment.


Al-Hussein Cultural Center

The Al-Hussein Cultural Center facilitates the development of local skills and artistic talent. Projects concentrate on social, political and cultural issues. The center has all the necessary facilities such as a library, theatre and auditorium. The multi purpose room is the venue for a variety of workshops, which are provided free to locals and are held to develop the skills of the participants. The theatre has space for an audience of 535 people and visitors can watch plays as well as music performances and the National Center of Music is located in the Al-Hussein Cultural Center.


Dining

Options range from fine dining to cheap street food. Whether you are looking for Irish pub food, spicy Mexican cuisine or local flavours, you will find what you are looking for on the streets of Amman. Most of Amman’s major hotels have on-site restaurants so you can enjoy a meal before heading out for the evening. Restaurants are located near famous tourists attractions such as the Jerash ruins. In this region you can find the Al-Khayyam restaurant, which serves Mediterranean cuisine. Chose from freshly prepared salads, spiced vegetables and meat dishes. Other options include Buddha Bar and Cinco do Mayo.
