The San Francisco Improv Alliance Looking for Submissions for The San Francisco Improv Festival 2006

The San Francisco Improv Alliance is pleased to announce the San Francisco International Improv Festival 2006! We are looking for improv ensembles in the Bay Area, Nationally and Internationally to join us next year in San Francisco for Improvisational Theater!



The San Francisco National Improv Festival offers each group selected three solid nights prime time slots (Thurs-Saturday) in the heart of San Francisco. We offer our participants payment from ticket sales, billeting of ensembles discounted hotel and airline rates and possibly the best time you can have in San Francisco. Our goal of the festival is to have improv companies in both the Bay area teamed with National Ensembles and receive payment via a full three day run. Class Teachers will receive payment from workshop classes.



The San Francisco Improv Festival does not pay for full hotel or airplane accommodations for our festival. We only ask that if you can get to San Francisco, the festival will cover you with billeting and inexpensive accommodations.



Festival Prodcuer Shaun Landry is the Producer of the San Francisco Improv Festival. She has produced two successful Improv Festival with The San Francisco Improv Co-Operative. has taught and performed at numerous improv festivals across the country and Internationally including The Chicago Improv Festival, The Big Stinkin Improv Festival, The San Francisco Fringe Festival, The New York Improv Festival The KC Improv Festival, The Amsterdam Improv Festival, The Toronto Improv Festival, and The Funny Women’s Improv Festival three straight years.



She has been instrumental in bringing down National Improv Teachers including Charna Halpern (Improv Olympic), Mick Napier (Annoyance and Second City), Andy Eninger (Gayprov/Second City), Joe Bill (The Annoyance/Bassprov) David Razowsky (Second City Los Angeles) and Ian Roberts (The Upright Citizens Brigade)



Deadline: January 2nd 2006



Ensemble and Teacher confirmation: January 6th 2006



Registration Fee:



Now till August 19th – $ 10.00 USD



August 19th – October 31st – $ 20.00 USD



November 1st – January 2nd – $ 30.00 USD



What to Submit – Ensembles



The Alliance asks that you submit a full length unedited version of your improvisational performance. It can be any type of improvisational theater (Short, Long, Interactive, Two Person, One Person etc.) as long as it is improvised. We do not accept stand up, sketch comedy or scripted productions.



By Mail Submission:



An Unedited improv performance on DVD, or Tape. We will not except edited versions or spliced together performances.



A full media press kit including pictures and logos, (for both print and web publication) press blurbs and a bio of your company CD Rom of your media Kit is preferred



A Check made payable to Theater Residencies Inc
