Dutch startup… Read More

HTC Vive Developer VR Headsets Now Shipping

Post from http://www.danieluk.net

Screen Shot 2015-06-05 at 4.43.32 PM HTC and Valve are playing catch-up a bit with Oculus in terms of getting their virtual reality headset out in the wild, but today they began shipping their developer hardware, which by all accounts is much further along than Oculus VR’s first kick at the can following their original Kickstarter campaign. The Valve/HTC Vive developer kit includes a Vive headset, along with two Lighthouse… Read More

Fly Or Die: HTC One M9

Post from http://www.danieluk.net

The HTC One M9 isn’t all that different from its predecessor the M8 — it still has a premium though relatively thick design, but it upgrades in the camera department as well as in general processing speed. But does it stand out? Biggs feels that the One M9 isn’t suited for the current competitive landscape, given the recent release of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge —… Read More

HTC"s Grip fitness tracker is a promising, puzzling first step

Once you turn the Grip on, you can"t help but fiddle with that curved P-OLED screen — it"s monochrome and relatively low-res, but it"s plenty legible (especially in the shower, I"d wager). Actually touching that screen to navigate is a bit more …

Gogoro"s battery-swapping electric scooter launches this summer in Taipei

Post from http://www.danieluk.net

Gogoro, the Taiwan-based company founded by ex-HTC staffers and funded in part by HTC co-founder Cher Wang, drummed up a lot of buzz at CES this January with its futuristic all-electric Smartscooter — but the company hadn’t announced when or where the bike would launch. Now, we know: it’ll hit Taipei City and the greater New Taipei City region, right in Gogoro’s backyard, this summer.

Windows 10 preview will soon be available for many more phones

Post from http://www.danieluk.net

Microsoft opened up its Windows 10 Technical Preview to Windows Phone users last month, but only a scant few Lumia devices were supported. That’s soon about to change. Microsoft has announced a second round of devices that will be able to run the very latest builds of Windows 10, and the good news is that the list has expanded considerably. The bad news is that there are still a few notable absences, including the Lumia 930 and any HTC Windows Phone devices.

Lumia 930 still missing from the list

Of course, you should still sit down for a minute and consider if you really want to install the Windows 10 Technical Preview on your phone. If your Windows Phone is your daily driver, it’s probably not a good idea — the operating system is…

HTC Sensation Still Outselling Closest Competitors

Post from http://www.danieluk.net

The introduction of high-end features into the mobile phone is something that started off with the HTC Desire HD in the HTC line-up, but it is a bit low on features when you compare it with a number of mobile phones that have been recently launched. Hence, HTC are planning to introduce the HTC Sensation at the top end of the spectrum in order to bring about a number of changes in the line-up and also from its competitors. The HTC Sensation is not expected to come with major changes in the design department, where it will be looking more or less similar to the HTC Desire HD.

It is, however, in the features department that the HTC Sensation really showcases its strength by coming with a 4.3 inch display. However, you might think that this is the same display that has already been seen in the HTC Desire HD, but it will be coming in the HTC Sensation with a new resolution that will be making all the difference. The phone is going to be offering 960 x 540 pixels when it comes to the resolution of this large touch screen display and this will be icebreaker with regard to the feature list in the new phone. The HTC Sensation is going to offer all the other features in the display department in a similar manner to the HTC Desire HD. It can be seen from the presence of the HTC Sense user interface, while also the Super LCD technology has been retained as well.

It is the resolution that is going to make all the difference in this area and the HTC Sensation really shines in this department. The HTC Sensation will be offered with 4 GB worth of content space internally, while there is the option of adding up to 32 GB worth of extra memory using the micro-SD card support that is provided by the phone. The increased memory is certainly going to be used properly by the HTC Sensation due to the presence of a number of options in the phone. The HTC Sensation will be most importantly offering quite a lot of connectivity options that is going to make the phone not only connect to the Internet quite fast, but also to other devices as well. The HTC Sensation is going to offer any megapixel camera that is going to offer all the features that have already been seen in the HTC Desire HD, but will be coming with a few improvements here and there that will make the phone look even better in the final product.

The 1.2 GHz dual core processor is the major improvement in the new phone and it is going to make the Android operating system look very low in terms of the processor requirements. It is an extremely powerful processor and it is going to use the 768 MB of RAM that is available. The HTC Sensation will be launched in the UK by this year end.

You’ll find the most effective mobile offers for HTC Sensation deals from compare mobile phone deals web sites like Best Mobile Contracts.
