How To Make Soba

Many noodle dishes are out there, yet this one takes the cake as among the easiest to make. You only need 4 ingredients, excluding the pots and bowls used during the process. A few more ingredients can be used if you want to increase the flavor. This is also a more interactive way of eating a noodle dish. Instead of putting the food in your mouth, you actually dip it in sauce before eating it. Learn how to make soba today.


 


The ingredients that you are going to useare: buckwheat noodles, soba soy sauce (they can be found in Asian markets across the country but also should be available in your local markets as well.), toasted seaweed, green onions, a radish and some salt.


 


First thing we need to do is to cook the noodles. Get a large pot of water and bring it to a boil. Add some salt for flavoring and then put in the buckwheat noodles. The best way to check if your noodles are done is to taste them. Take out a strand and if it seems like it’s cooked enough, it is. If not, let it boil in the water for a couple more minutes.


 


While the buckwheat noodles are cooking in the pot of water, take your green onion and dice it fairly fine. After you have done that, take a food processor and grind your radish down until you have a chunky paste like substance. Add these two items to your soba sauce and mix it well. This will give it multiple layers of flavor instead of just a bland soba soy sauce.


 


Once your buckwheat noodles have finished cooking, take a plate and put your noodles on that. Add some shredded toasted seaweed on top of the noodles. Serve with the sauce in a little bowl and eat!
