Christmas Holiday Photo Books Made Superbly

Post from http://www.danieluk.net

Christmas season is a most wonderful time of year for just about everyone, children and adults as well. Sometimes we hate to see it end. The parties, family time, gifts, seeing a few people that you may only see at Christmas, it’s a time of year that most of us really look forward to. And of course, there are always lots of pictures taken.

When you think about it, the whole season could be turned into Christmas holiday photo books. With a little thoughtful planning, you could include pictures of everyone decorating the Christmas tree, dad putting up the lights, Christmas Eve family time together, opening gifts, a few pictures at some of the adult parties you may attend, a couple taking down the tree and lights, and the list goes on.

Lots of good photo books have been made with Christmas holiday pictures in them, and they’re most always made up of a collection of pictures that were taken with no real plan whatsoever. It’s fine, and it’s the way that most of them will continue to be made. But if you want to make superb Christmas holiday photo books (not just good), you must plan them.

It isn’t complicated, but it must be fairly detailed because superb ones are going to require four basic ingredients; 1) theme, 2) good pictures, 3) captions and text, and 4) good online web site.

1) Theme- Even though you know you’re theme is going to be Christmas, you need to break that down and decide what all it’s going to include. Is it going to be of a single family event, or would you like it to include everything mentioned above, decorating the tree, etc. Once you decide what you want to include, write it down.

2) Good pictures- You also need to write down the number of candid shots you want to take of every subject, and at every event, as well as some particular posed shots. For example, if you want at least one or two good pictures of everyone decorating the tree, plan on taking 4-6 so that you have a better chance of being able to pick out a good one. If the main subject or event is going to be the family Christmas party, and you want to include at least 20 good pictures from the party, then plan on taking 30-40. If you want a picture of all the grandkids grouped together, write it down.

It’s also a good idea to have others help you. You can make it a family fun type project, and ask your sister, or brother, or maybe your dad to be sure to have their digital cameras out (with extra batteries available), and take a certain number as well. Come up with a total, and divide it by the number of helpers you have.

3) Captions and text- Note who is in the various pictures for entering captions in your book. Also be sure to note anything interesting that may have happened. There will be places in your photo book where you can enter text, and that sometimes helps tell the story behind a picture, or further details the fun time that your book is all about.

4) Good online web site- You must create your Christmas holiday photo books on a web site that has the following; book designs you really like, wide array of photo book features and options, an easy step-by-step process, and the latest technology.

Following these simple, yet proven suggestions, will always result in you making superb photo books, regardless of the theme. In fact, yours will turn out so good that all of your family will want one. It’s a good thing they aren’t expensive.
